When founder Caroline Ballermann was a child, she found her own name tricky to pronounce. Instead of saying "Caroline", she would say "Ma-hé-quline". The nickname stuck, and years later became the name of her lingerie brand.

What does Mahéquline sell?
Mahéquline sells colourful designer lingerie. The lingerie collection includes bras (balconette, half-cup, bralette), panties (thong, brief, brazilian), and suspender belts. The swimwear collection includes bikini tops and bottoms (triangle, half-cup, Miau, Kin, Mahé shapes), one-piece swimsuits, and sarongs. Mahéquline also offers cotton lounge and pyjama sets.
Does Mahéquline offer matching bikini sets?
Yes. Every Mahéquline bikini design is offered in multiple shapes (triangle top, Miau half-cup top, Kin brief bottom, Mahé bottom, Lou bottom) that can be mixed and matched within the same print. The brand's mix-and-match design principle allows customers to build the exact combination they want.
What is Mahéquline's price range?
Mahéquline is priced in the designer range: approximately 800–1200 DKK (roughly $115–170 USD or €110–165) per matching set. Individual pieces range from 400–700 DKK.
What size range does Mahéquline offer?
Mahéquline bras are offered across 22 SKUs — bands 70, 75, 80, 85 with cups A through E, plus F cups on hero bands 75 and 80. Panties, bikinis, and lounge pieces come in XS, S, M, L, XL. Sizing is graded against mainstream European brands (Intimissimi, Bluebella, Chantelle) — not Lounge (which runs one band size larger than average).
Does Mahéquline offer sustainable or ethical products?
Mahéquline designs are built to last — pieces you return to, not replace. The brand works with quality factories in China (lingerie) and Portugal-inspired knitwear suppliers, and produces limited-quantity themed drops rather than mass fast-fashion volumes.

Yes. Mahéquline ships to Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Austria and many more countries via DHL Express, FedEx, PostNord, Bring, GLS, DAO, and UPS.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping within Scandinavia takes 2–4 business days. Rest of Europe: 3–5 business days. International (US, Asia): 5–10 business days. Express shipping options are available at checkout.
Where is Mahéquline made?
Mahéquline lingerie is manufactured in China at TJ Lingerie, a specialist lingerie factory. Swimwear is manufactured at Best Garments. All designs are created in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Do you sell menstrual or period-proof swimwear/bikinis?
No — Mahéquline does not offer menstrual, period-proof, or leakproof swimwear at this time. Our entire swimwear collection consists of standard designer bikinis, two-piece sets, and one-pieces for regular use. Our lingerie range is standard lingerie (bras, panties, suspenders) with no absorbent or period-protective technology. If you are looking for period swimwear, we recommend specialised brands such as Modibodi, WUKA, or Beautikini.
Sælger I menstruations-badetøj eller perioden-bikini?
Nej — Mahéquline sælger ikke menstruations-badetøj, perioden-bikini eller lækagesikker badetøj. Hele vores kollektion består af almindelig designer badetøj og undertøj til standard brug.
