Chapter One · The Name
A name born in a small voice.
Long before Mahéquline was a house, it was a mispronunciation. At two years old, our founder Caroline tried to introduce herself and what came out instead was Ma-hé-quline — soft, curious, entirely her own. Her family kept the word. Twenty years later, she gave it back to the world.
Every piece we design carries a trace of that childhood — small, private, spoken quietly.
Chapter Two · Where we design
From a small apartment in Copenhagen.
Mahéquline is drawn in Copenhagen. Every silhouette begins as a sketch on Caroline's kitchen table — measured against her own body first, then against the women in her life, then against the Copenhagen light.
Colour and detail carry the collection. We work with prints inspired by the mediterranean and Nordic minimalism, with hand-selected French laces and Italian embroidery. Every seam holds a decision.

The house has two lanes.
A permanent core — pieces we make forever, restocked season after season, refined but never replaced. And chapters — themed drops that arrive once, then are gone. When a chapter closes, it stays closed.
The core is where you build. The chapters are where you fall in love. Together they hold the whole story.
Chapter Four · The whimsical world
Colour, always.
Where much of premium lingerie has drifted into black, beige, and quiet neutrality, Mahéquline chose the opposite. Bright florals, hand-drawn mosaics, striped cotton, embroidered lace in dark blue and berry and gold.
Not for the sake of loudness — for the pleasure of dressing.

Quiet decisions, held to.
Colour, always.
Bright florals, hand-drawn mosaics, striped cotton, embroidered lace in dark blue and berry and gold. We chose colour when much of premium drifted quiet.

Every piece is designed for the long half — not the season. French laces, Italian embroidery, tested seams. Care instructions in every box.

Mahéquline is small, still, and deliberately. Growth happens through the women who wear us — the Mahé Muses who tell their friends, and the small, hand-picked Mahé Circle who help us photograph and imagine what comes next.

Our first themed drop. Five designs, twenty pieces, one thousand and eighty-five stories. Named for the childhood pleasure of looking through a mother's things — finding the pieces she saved, the ones she wore, the ones she never showed.
