Mahéquline in the Press: BUNTE, ALT, Costume, Børsen & Woman.dk
Sometimes the loveliest moments in building a brand are the ones where someone else, somewhere else, decides to speak about you. Not you speaking about yourself, but a stranger deciding your work is worth pointing at.
Over the past two years, Mahéquline has been mentioned in some of the publications we grew up reading. From ALT for Damerne to Denmark's business daily Børsen, from Germany's BUNTE to Costume Magazine and Woman.dk. Each mention has felt like a small doorway opening, so we wanted to gather them here in one place, as a quiet thank you and a note of where we've been.
ALT for Damerne, July 2024. A Copenhagen tastemaker's favourite lingerie brand
In July 2024, ALT for Damerne published a piece on Julie Kriegler's three best styling tips. When asked about her favourite wardrobe pieces, Julie named Mahéquline directly:
"Mit yndlingsmærke er Mahéquline. Jeg lærte brandet at kende sidste år og faldt pladask for det. Deres design er elegante og smukke på samme tid, uden at det nogensinde bliver for tacky."
A quiet endorsement from one of Copenhagen's most watched style voices. We were honoured, and still are.
Woman.dk, April 2023. Mahéquline alongside Ann Demeulemeester
In April 2023, Woman.dk placed Mahéquline in a shortlist of 5 brands to keep an extra eye on. The list positioned Mahéquline alongside Ann Demeulemeester, GmbH, Who Decides War, and Conner Ives, describing the brand as a lingerie universe created by Caroline Ballermann.
Being placed in that peer set of designers was one of the earliest moments where it felt like Mahéquline had begun to find its own room in the wider Copenhagen fashion conversation.
BUNTE, June 2026. Germany finds Mahéquline
June 2026 brought a feature in Germany's BUNTE magazine, the country's leading celebrity and lifestyle weekly, part of the Burda publishing house. The placement, part of a summer style roundup, positioned the Montjuïc set as one of the season's standout pieces. It marked our first serious step into German press, and coincided with a growing German customer base for the brand.
Costume Magazine. A Copenhagen fashion authority
Costume, one of the most respected fashion publications in the Nordic region, has covered Mahéquline in their editorial. Their reach across Scandinavia has meant Mahéquline entered a wider Nordic conversation about the next generation of lingerie and swimwear design.
Børsen. Denmark's business daily
Being covered in Børsen, Denmark's leading business newspaper, meant something a little different. It was the first moment the brand entered the business conversation, not just the fashion one. A signal that the story we are building is being seen not just as design, but as a business worth watching.
